Url.oO is a free app that allows you to send a message (via push notification) to everyone around you within a certain distance. It’s super easy to use: choose your nickname, write your message (of 140 characters) and then choose the distance of the shout. There are screams of three levels (110 km, 220 km and 550 km) that unlock as the app is used. Each user has a score that increases each time a shout is sent and each ’like’ received on the shout. The shout-outs received can then be ‘bounced’ to make them go further. You can link your Twitter and Facebook accounts to automatically share sent urloos. Url.oO allows you to send messages to people around you via push notifications, even if you don’t know them. It’s like shouting out the window, but much much louder. Open Url.oO, choose a suitable nickname, write a message, choose how far you want to be heard and press the shout button. In Url.oO you have the possibility to choose how far you want ‘your voice’ to reach. There are 3 screams, one more powerful than the other, which you can use as you accumulate points. You accumulate points every time you: send a url.oO, listen to a url.oO and someone likes a url.oO of yours. All these points will be used to unlock new, more powerful urls. Url.oO uses GPS to establish your position and check who is around you, this is also done when you close the application, but don’t worry about battery consumption, the application uses the power-saving mode of GPS which only detects large movements (greater than 3km). All these functions can be deactivated from the settings screen.
